One dark and wet November day, my journalist friend Herbert Stiglmaier suddenly stood in front of my gallery in Lohr a. Main. We knew each other from our time together at the Münchner Abendzeitung in 1985. While having coffee he asked me if I could imagine photographing for his wine book „Simply Wine“ in the same style as my series "Iron, Man & Shadow" from the Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia .
That was the beginning of my wine adventure. I had the great pleasure of meeting top German and Austrian winemakers such as Hans Ruck, Horst Sauer and Michael Moosbrugger.
